MONITOR YOUR CHICKS ::
Observe the figures below, you will clearly be able to monitor your chicks by observing their response to the heat source you have provided to them. There are three different responses according to the figures below, the chicks stays away from the heat source with their mouths open at all times due to exessive heat, or chicks stays too close to the heat source shouting, or chicks takes their positions freely in the shed feeding.
Please observe below figures carefully;
The two figures shows improper positioning of the chicks due to excessive heat (left) and insufficient heat (right).
When the available heat is not in excess or insufficient, the chicks positions themselves freely in the shed as shown below;
Here the Chicks are Happy with the amount of heat and will spend most of their time feeding or resting after feeding.
