GROWING YOUR CHICKS FOR SALE ::
A. PREPARATION (Step by Step)
- Clean your Shed, in and out.
- Have your chokaa stired, then apply on the floor and walls
- Leave your Chokaa to dry properly
- Put timber dust as matresses for chicks
- Disinfect with "Disinfectant" like RHINO WHITE or TH4
- Close the door for atleast 7days especially if you applied TH4

B. PREPARATION FOR RECEIVING THE CHICKS
- Use "HARDBOARDS" to form the cage for your chicks according to the number of chicks you expect to receive
- Put papers over matresses for the first 4 days.
- Prepare the places for their food and water, then place them properly in the shed
- Place the lights that will be the source of heat in the shed
- To prevent loss of heat, cover the shed with a cotton cloth making sure of enough ventilation as well.
- You will expand your shed as your chicks grows. If you are receiving the chicks by tomorrow morning, switch on the lights today evening or at midnight to ensure the heat is around 32 -33°C when receiving the chicks.
C. RECEIVING THE CHICKS
- Count the chicks and put the number in your records
- Place the chicks where you prepared for them to be
- Make sure the light also provides enough light for them to see where food and water is located.
